NOW Attitude

Focus on what’s happening, the “NOW” and let go of the past – success lies not in what happens to us, but how we respond to what happens to us. Our positive emotions, our good attitudes must be stronger than our negative ones, we must continually feed our positive attitude until it is stronger and wins over the negatives.

Our attitudes will always determine our outcomes and this reminds me of the “Paradoxical Commandments” by Dr. Kent M. Keith

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.

Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.

Think big anyway.

People favour underdogs but follow only top dogs.

Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.

Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.

Give the world the best you have anyway.

The world is full of violence, injustice, starvation, disease, and environmental destruction.

Have faith anyway.

Too often we look at yesterday to model the success for today, but yesterday is already history – God wants us to focus on him and he will show us the new day, the day that no eye has seen before!

God’s amazing day awaits us!

Another inspirational blog by Mr Simmonds. I am reblogging in an effort to maintain a copy. I have yet to learn the protocols for reblogging, giving appropriate credit, and tagging here on WordPress, but I can’t help but reblog good stuff like this.
