Many people approach life asking HOW should I do something? Most of this conditioning as I like to call it comes from the fact that when we are children we will hear NO and DON’T 48 000 times by the age of 5 and YES and CAN only 5000 times. All this programming of the unconscious mind produces more self-doubt than we can imagine.
Does this mean we cannot do things and we have lost our creativity? Some may argue that we have and others like myself challenge the thinking, I say you are only out of practice! My dad always told me to try something first, he wanted me to experiment and possibly fail, not because he did not want me to succeed – he just wanted me to learn. If we honest with ourselves we don’t try enough. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with doing it right, we need to ask ourselves could it be done better and are there easier perhaps more efficient ways of doing something and what are we trying to accomplish.
This is what the WHY is about – why are we doing what we are doing? What is our INTENTION? When we are able to formulate our intentions for ourselves and understand where we would like to go these intentions then become part of who we are, our character if you like and we know what we need to do to get there. The HOW has just become easy!
