Leonardo da Vinci said that ‘Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication’ and never has that been truer than in our modern day society. Our world is made up of many different people and assuming that everyone can understand our language or the particular accent we have is extremely presumptuous.
When we communicate simply we are able to connect with more people and the level of understanding simply increases. If we ignore these facts and try to act and sound clever we lose our audience and stand the chance of being disregarded.
Simplifying the way we communicate is not dumbing things down – it is Speaking Human. After all eighty percent of all communication is emotional ‘limbic’ communication and words are not as important as we like to think. Speak Human and you will be amazed at the results you get.
